The amount of coffee that one can consume without damaging their health varies from person to person and depends on various factors such as individual tolerance to caffeine, overall health, and lifestyle. Generally, moderate coffee consumption, defined as about 3 to 4 cups per day, is considered safe for most healthy adults. This level of consumption typically provides the potential health benefits associated with coffee, such as improved cognitive function and reduced risk of certain diseases, without significantly increasing the risk of adverse effects.

However, it's essential to be mindful of personal sensitivities to caffeine and any underlying health conditions. Excessive caffeine intake can lead to side effects like anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, and increased heart rate. Pregnant individuals and those with certain medical conditions such as anxiety disorders, heart arrhythmias, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) may need to limit their caffeine intake further or avoid it altogether.

Too much caffeine can lead to negative side effects like, anxiety, and disrupted sleep patterns. If you drink excessively like anything it could lead to death. I drink 1-2 a day, but I believe anymore than 3 cups a day could put you at risk of side effects.

I take 3-4 cups of coffee per day and I haven't noticed any health challenges. But I think it's good to set a safe limit. Now, I have plans to reduce to a maximum of two cups per day.
