Losing weight and putting it back on and more

Throughout my life, I have always taken part in different diets and even though some of them worked really well, others would work and then when I stopped them I would end up putting the weight back on and then more which meant that instead of losing the weight and keeping it off, I would instead end up yo-yo dieting.

No matter how many diets I tried, I always ended up back at square one every time and eventually gave up with diets and lost weight through diets instead, I now eat healthily and watch my portion control.

Have you lost weight through dieting and then put it on and more? Do you still try dieting or do you use another method to lose weight now?

Yo-yo dieting is actually quite common. You lose a bit of weight, and then end up gaining it back and more. It's hard to keep bad habits from returning, you may have a cheat day here and there and it creeps up on you. I've never tried fasting before, but I've heard it can help you lose weight. As long as you've got a routine and stick to it I think it's possible to keep the weight off for good.

It's hard to keep a consistent workout/eating habit to stay fit. I eat a lot of junk food most of the time and I'm a little hefty because of it. I consider my two jobs my main source of working out, so I don't really do much exercise. It takes discipline to work out and eat healthily consistently. I am too addicted to certain types of food to eat healthy, unfortunately.

I've been through the cycle of losing weight only to put it back on—and then some. It’s frustrating because I’d work hard, see results, but then slip back into old habits. I realized that quick fixes don’t work for me. Sustainable changes, like finding a balanced approach to eating and staying active, are what I need to maintain progress long-term.

I’ve experienced losing weight and then gaining it back, often with a few extra pounds. This yo-yo effect happens when I focus on quick fixes like crash diets. Once the diet ends, old habits return, and the weight comes back. Now, I focus on long-term lifestyle changes, like balanced eating and regular exercise, to avoid this cycle
