I know some people that don't feel comfortable using a mobile device for more than one year. They always plan to buy a new one on a yearly basis and it is something that makes me wonder why. Is that normal?

I am not someone who changes devices yearly. I am someone who doesn't change his phone until it is not working anymore.

Unfortunately, it's not possible for me to be considering changing my smartphone every year. My smartphone is awfully expensive. I won't buy a smartphone around $2k+ and I would plan on having it changed within 1 year. Those who do that should also consider changing their laptops every year :?

In principle, I cannot judge other people, because they do it for their own money, and I, for example, can understand those for whom devices really solve problems, that is why they need the most powerful smartphones, and therefore it is worth buying a new one every year, but if only for the sake of the brand, then it makes no sense

It really depends on the circumstances. If I’m offered to ‘upgrade’ my device on a 0% Apr plan, then of course, I’ll sell my old one and get a newer model. Besides this, if my device is still working and does what I want it to do, I can’t see the point in upgrading

I mostly change my mobile every 2 years but last time I got myself a high range phone and I am hoping to work with it for at least 4 years.
