When you suffer an injury from training, how long does it take it to recover before believing you can train again? Do you put any timeframe or whenever you stopped feeling pain?

When it comes to any kind of injury, it will depend on the type of injury and the care that you needed after the injury occurred I find.

For something that was small and that I could deal with at home, I usually give myself a few days and wait until I feel I can then workout or train again without any pain or discomfort.

For something such as a bad injury that needed me to get hospital treatment and such, I will go by what the doctor says as to how long I should wait before I jump back into anything.

The longest injury I have had is a chest injury which prevented me from training normally for at least 2 months, it was a tear and I had to go to the physiotherapist and use a special ointment, I also had a shoulder injury that was bothering me for 1 month and a half, it really depends on the type of injury you have, It is best to go to a specialist and be treated.

It is never easy recovering from a chest injury and I am happy that you were able to recover within a space of 2 months. I have been in a similar situation in the past and it took me 4 months before I can be able to recover from the injury.

Thanks for your words, yes, it really is not easy and I have come to know people who even years after the injury do not recover completely, it may be due to poor treatment during recovery or something genetic, the important thing is to try to put everything of you to recover and that the injury does not become something chronic.

This is not always the same term, because injuries can be severe, but when I get injured, after full recovery, I give the body another week, because after a break it is very difficult to adjust the training routine and waste time again. Sometimes it seems very useless and you just want to rest, that's why I allocate this week to prepare for classes.

Returning to exercise after an injury depends on the severity and type of injury. I usually wait until I’m fully healed and get the go-ahead from a healthcare professional. When I do start exercising again, I ease back in with low-impact activities and gradually increase intensity. It’s important to listen to my body and not rush the process to avoid re-injury
