In August 2022, I was diagnosed as having acute migraines and was told that stress was a huge trigger for my migraines and that avoiding stress is a better option for me.

Of course, with life, you can not always avoid stress and therefore, I get migraines more often than I ever used to. I tend to take the medication given to me for migraines and also paracetamol if I need to.

I was wondering if there are any home made remedies for migraines that are proven to work.

I was taught water therapy by a friend of mine. I have used it a couple of times and it seems to work for headaches. The only thing would be to never over stress yourself because that's going to bring back the whole headache. Also, try and sleep often, it definitely helps so much with migraines.

I do not have migraines, but I have a friend who has migraines. She says she finds relief with homemade remedies like drinking ginger tea to reduce inflammation and nausea. Applying a cold or warm compress on my forehead eases pain. Staying hydrated with plenty of water helps prevent migraine headaches. I believe deep breathing exercises and rest in a dark, quiet room can also soothe your symptoms.
