PTSD occurs when the traumatic experience lasts long. These people relive their painful experience through flashbacks and nightmares. They will be afraid, angry, detached and estranged from other people.

PTSD may not always be a result of recent traumatic happening, it might come to your old age and it may be a trauma related to your childhood. In fact many people experience PTSD in old age, PTSD gets worse with age.
