Impulse Control and Addiction Disorders / Alcohol ruins lives
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:31:42 PM »
The reason why I said lives is because it is not just that alcohol ruins a life of a person who is drinking but also a life of people around him. Maybe he has a family, maybe he is aggressive when he drinks and so on. All of this affects others and that's why alcoholism is a huge problem of modern society. Not the biggest one, but a very important one.

Do you know somebody who is alcoholic or have you been one and how you got sober?

Impulse Control and Addiction Disorders / Clinging to people
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:27:07 PM »
I am unsure if you can call this an addiction but when one become super depending on a person, or clingy, his own free will is no longer free and he/she will do anything to keep their partner in their life. It is an often phrase people here "I am addicted to you" which can be easily seen as "I can't live without you or spend any time seperated from you". Is this a disorder? Being unable to have your own life even while being in relationship?

Impulse Control and Addiction Disorders / Pornography
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:24:24 PM »
One of the most easiest addiction man can get is being addicted to pornography and it is mostly those who can't have sex for whatever the reason. It becomes like a drug and you want from soft to more and more hardcore and what is worse, you start looking at women as an objects and you lose that innocent view you had on them before. This is seriously hard to deal with because it gives the biggest pleasure what can have.

Did you had problem with this addiction before or do you still?

Impulse Control and Addiction Disorders / Huge mistakes
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:21:58 PM »
My issue with impulsive decision making is taking a huge toll on my life. At one point of my life I can be loved by many but then in a split of a second, just because there was an impulsive thought, I made more than ten people hate me and spit on me (which I understand). But, none of them will ever listen to me or understand me, nor they care to know why I did what I did.

How to cope with this?

Impulse Control and Addiction Disorders / Giving up quick
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:19:25 PM »
I have one very annoying problem which affects my life quite badly. You see, I can easily get an impulse to do something, to make a website or do learn some programming language so I begin doing so but after some short period of time I feel very empty and lose all the interest I had which makes me annoyed and depressed at the same time. How to solve this issue?

Depression / Being cheated on
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:17:22 PM »
I truly believe that when a person loves somebody and he finds out he is being cheated for quite some time, that can shatter him pretty badly. You start to think why she did it, is it my fault, did I sleep with her after she just had sex with him, is he making fun of me, is she telling him things about me? Thousands of things there. Have you ever been cheated on and how did you cope with it, how did you feel? How the cheater reacted when you found out?

Depression / Can depression be passed to another person?
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:14:11 PM »
We often want to help others and when we see person who is sad or depressed, we feel urge to comfort them, because that's how human beings work. Now, we all had some friends who got depressed more or less but the question here is, can they be so depressed that their depression affects you in a way so you became depressed as well? Can such thing even occur?

Why Life Sucks and What You Can Do About it / Time of war
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:11:01 PM »
War is something nobody wants to see, mostly men because they are the one who will be sent on the battlefield to die. I have seen plenty of documentaries about ww2 and the testimonies of soldiers who survived. They spoke of horrors they saw, on how that affected them when they were very young.. One of the first things in war is watching injustice being done in front of you and being unable to do anything about it.

How can one cope with these stuff?

Alternative Mental Health Treatment / Spending time on the countryside
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:05:32 PM »
Believe it or not, spending time on the countryside without using technology can rewire one's mind and make him recover from everyday stress. City life is full of stress, we are bombarded by social media, by news, by other people talking to us, by work.. There seems to be no time for yourself. When you spend one month without all of that on the countryside you will see how your mind cleans all of that garbage out of you.

Anyone has a house on the countryside?

Why Life Sucks and What You Can Do About it / Premature ejaculation
« on: October 31, 2023, 05:02:26 PM »
One of the most annoying and humiliating things men can have is premature ejaculation. It makes them feel as a lesser men because they can't satisfy woman in bed. It can be extremely frustrating and can affect their self-confidence. They may go out, find a girl who is into one night stand then then, boom, they start worrying because of premature ejaculation and something that could have been good turns a bad turn.

Ever had somebody who has the problem or do you have such problem?

This is probably a huge bummer for all the guys - being beaten up by somebody in front of their crush. All men want to prove themselves worthy of their crush, to prove themselves strong physically and mentally. But, when you get beaten up, that's a huge humiliation. Have you ever lived this experience and if yes, how did you feel?

Why Life Sucks and What You Can Do About it / Losing a loved one
« on: October 31, 2023, 04:51:58 PM »
Losing a loved one can often cause a person to consider life unjust, feel something that can't be quite described by words, but it is some kind hate towards an opponent you can't punch, towards the opponent who took something valuable from you and there is no way for you to fight back other than simply accept it. Have you ever lost your loved one and if yes, how did you deal with it?

Mood Swings / What triggers you off easily?
« on: October 31, 2023, 04:47:17 PM »
What triggers you off easily? Some people are not triggered easily and you can do many things to them, say whatever you want and their mood will remain still, but most of the people can't control themselves and there is something that others can say or do to trigger the mood change. What can trigger you quickly? In my case, anything related to politics sets me off instantly. Also, if people are not polite during discussion but try to put me down instead of giving arguments, I go wild.

Mood Swings / Did something you regret now?
« on: October 31, 2023, 04:43:54 PM »
When people have a mood swing they can do variety of different things and some of them can have a huge impact on their or someone's else life. It is not a mystery that people lose girlfriends/ boyfriends or friends because of poor choice of words they had in a single moment of anger. Did you lose someone close to you because you had a mood swing?

Mood Swings / How parents affect your daily mood?
« on: October 31, 2023, 04:41:06 PM »
How parents affect your daily mood? Are they understanding to you, do they give you privacy or are they nosy? What annoys you most when having to deal with parents? Are they way too strict, do they forbid you to have fun with friends? Do they want to know who you like what you are typing to people?
I always hated when my parents were nosy. They were always: What are you typing, to who you are typing, why you spend so much time chatting etc. I almost had no privacy..
