This is not something any doctor suggest people to do but all of us listen to music whenever feeling down. It seems that there is some connection between music and human mind. Music is after all frequency and specific frequency is good for us. Some people enjoy loud music, some enjoy romantic, violin sound. It seems to me that music prefference changes depending on our mood. This is not something we pick, it is more subconscious.

What do you think of it?

Music has a profound impact on the human mind. Different frequencies and genres can elicit various emotional responses, and our music preferences often align with our moods. The connection between music and our subconscious is intriguing, and many find solace and upliftment in listening to music when feeling down.
