Video Game Remakes

Do you like when they remake/remaster video games? Do you think it's beneficial to the video game or just the ones profiting from it?

I mainly want to see them remake specific video games for newer systems myself.

I don't mind remakes of video games myself that I enjoyed playing and would like to see come to the newer consoles later on.

I feel as long as nothing is changed but the graphics to make them more modern and also the game being optimized for the newer consoles as well, a remake can work really well and be successful.

I have played many remastered games and remakes, I do not mind playing them and buying them if I am really waiting for their release, for example lately I have played the remake of Resident evil 4 and last year the remake of Final fantasy vii and both were so good games, as long as the game is well made and developers do not do them in a hurry, I have no problems.

I love video game remakes, well only if they're done right. I'm looking forward to the Gex Trilogy coming out next year, though I think these aren't going to be direct remakes. One remake I'm not really a fan of is Final Fantasy 7, I prefer turned based RPGs and wish that Square Enix would go back to this style in Final Fantasy. I also don't like how they changed the story either.

Personally, I am hoping they will do a remake of one of my fav games witch is "The Legacy of Kain" serial. The graphics are quite old but the soul of that game is perfection. But, there are cases when they try to remake a game and then it fails. Such example is with Heroes of might and magic III game. The company realized it's the most popular part in the series so they made a remake by just making it HD. I think they made it only worse...

The remake of the game is not always better than the original, because when they do it, it means that the game is popular, and if it is popular, then people only want to play it, and then the developers decide to make a remake in order to earn a lot of money again, but in fact they don't even change anything in the game, they just make it better graphics
