Cycling

Post by ShawnHikes » Mon Oct 17, 2022 12:21 am

Anyone into cycling at all?

I'm into road biking and mountain biking myself.

I rode 100 miles straight yesterday. It took me 12 hours. All on a gravel rail trail using my heavy mountain bike.

Started in the dark, ended in the dark.

Definitely feeling it today lol.

Any of you get into biking at all?

12 hours of biking 100 miles. That is amazing! I haven't done any kind of biking for quite a long time to be honest as a lot of the traveling I do is on foot or using public transport or a family member's vehicle instead. I remember when I was in school though I used to bike to school and back daily and that was around 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back.

I like cycling a lot. It was one of the activities that kept me fit. We have a lot of routes with less or no traffic, so cycling is really enjoyable in those routes.

Unfortunately, cycling isn't my favourite way to exercise. I had a very horrible accident when I was still a kid cycling and it nearly killed me. My helmet almost broke in half. It was my last day of ever cycling.

It's really cool once when I got tired of running I used to ride a bike every morning but not as much as you but 10 km every day didn't feel so hard and filled me with energy. I plan to buy a more suitable bike for this in the future.

Cycling is a great workout for cardiovascular health and leg strength. I enjoy it for its low impact on the joints compared to running. Whether it’s outdoor rides or indoor sessions, it provides a good mix of endurance and muscle building. Plus, cycling can be a fun way to explore new areas and get some fresh air!

Cycling is such a fantastic way to stay active! Riding 100 miles on a mountain bike, especially on a gravel trail, is an impressive achievement. Starting and ending in the dark must have been quite the adventure, though I can imagine how sore you must feel today. Road biking and mountain biking each have their unique thrills, and it’s great to see people getting into both. It’s a rewarding experience that offers a sense of freedom and exploration.
