Ketchup on Spaghetti

Do you put ketchup on spaghetti? Does it taste good?

I do put ketchup on my spaghetti and it looks so cool. I also cook it in a unique way with tomatoes and spice. It would look like a jollof rice. My mother taught me how to prepare it.

I myself do not put ketchup on spaghetti but my 15 year old loves to have either pasta or spaghetti with ketchup and cheese on it. He prefers to have that to say pasta sauce or bolognese on his pasta and I always find he eats it. My way of looking at it is if he eats it then fair enough lol. It's not for me though.

No, never! I don't do that myself at all. I usually just eat it with the sauce and ground beef with parmesan cheese.

Ketchup on spaghetti sounds disgusting so I'll never do that lol. I'll stick to traditional tomato sauce with meatballs, that's how I like my spaghetti. Some people put sugar on spaghetti and I don't like that. My sister likes it though.

I know that many Italians, and perhaps even without exception, hate it when their food is not eaten the way they intended. However, I do not have the opportunity to buy tomato paste and cook spaghetti with it, so I use ketchup as a cheap substitute and of course the taste is not the same as with pasta, but it is a very quick and easy method to eat.

I do like tomato ketchup a lot and I don't mind adding it to any dish or rice or even my curd LOL so I find it tasty even on spaghetti
