Excessive sugar consumption is linked to various health issues, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. Consuming too much added sugar can lead to weight gain, insulin resistance, and inflammation in the body. Healthier alternatives to refined sugars include natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or stevia, as well as whole fruits, which provide sweetness along with fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Moderation and mindful consumption of sweet treats are key to maintaining a balanced diet and optimal health.

White sugar is not good for our health and this is why we should avoid taking at least direct sugar and should switch to healthy alternatives like raw sugar, jaggery honey.

Lots of sugar isn't good for your health. You can eventually develop type 2 diabetes if you don't watch how much sugar you have on a daily basis. I heard stevia is a better alternative for sugar, back when I was a kid there was a thing called Nutrasweet but it was discontinued since it turns out it wasn't really that good of an alternative.
