Do you think that the purchase of referees in the highest spheres of sport is still common? In sports such as football, basketball, baseball, etc. it is very clear that in the minor leagues, this happens very often, but what about in the higher divisions? or in major competitions such as World Cups or Champions League?

There's corruption everywhere. We have seen referees being obviously baised in how they officiate big matches. It was very evident in the Champions league match between Chelsea and Barcelona.

As far as I'm concerned, today it's like a habit because in almost every match you can notice referee mistakes and it's not a human error, I think it's like a bribe because even a simple yellow card can play a big role in any match.

There are times when those situations of purchasing a referee are not possible. However, I have seen some poor decisions by officials in games that made me feel that they took bribe to officiate such a game.

There is corruption in every sports and this is the reason why the same thing is always going to be happening in football as well.
Some referees have been suspended permanently as a result of being bribed by teams that wanted to get partial officiating from them.
