Why do we have mood swings?

We all have mood swings, it's a part of our everyday life. For most people mood swings once in a while can be considered normal, but what would you say to someone who is having mood swings every minute or hour of the day.
I have a twin sister who always changes mood almost every hour, sometimes she behaves like a baby, sometimes like a warrior who can fight the whole world. I don't just get her.
I have read a lot of stories about mood swings, based on my reading I can say no one has actually figured out the true source of mood swings, or how we can prevent it. I think it's not possible to stop mood swings even if we wanted to because mood swing is what makes us as humans.

I don't know the exact reason, but perhaps a psychiatrist or neurologist will explain why people have mood swings. What I know is it is ok to have mood swings once in a while because mood swings are triggered by life events or thoughts, and we all know that we will not always have good thoughts or happiness in life.

I used to have what my late husband characterized as “mood swings”. But I figured out the source. It was my job. When I first started working at this particular job, I very much enjoyed it. But then I got a promotion and was relocated to work in the nation's capital, Washington, D.C. The work environment there was like a pressure cooker. Many things that happened during the workday affected my mood. But my husband figured out that music was a good way to change my mood, calm me down, and turn me back into myself. When I changed jobs my “radical” mood swings went away. My “normal” mood swings came back. Cause after all, everybody has their up days and their down days. But if you start experiencing "unusual" mood swings, you definitely need to find the source.
Your mental health should never be ignored. Never be ashamed to get the help you need. NOTE: I am not a mental health professional. I only share my personal experience and thoughts and may refer to information gleaned from general research and study.

As far as I'm concerned, there are so many things that can cause someone to have mood swings. Personally, it's all about money for. When I'm out of cash for too long, my mood swing will always be erratic and it's not always nice whenever it happens.

Hormones can cause mood swings. Environmental aspects can play a key when it comes to mood swings too. If someone is having to deal with too much stress from work or just life in general it can definitely cause mood swings too.

To the best of my knowledge, I believe that our mood is connected to how whatever is happening to us is making us feel. If it's something positive, then the mood is going to be very good and fun but when it's bad, it's going to be the opposite.

Well, it is not like I have a lot of mood swings, but sometimes I feel a bit sad and then I improve my mood with some gaming and then it goes in circle. Sometimes when I get upset over something, then I really lose it and my mood swings. However I am really trying to fix this issue and deal with it but it is so hard for years already.

Mood swings can be caused by various factors, including hormonal changes, neurotransmitter imbalances, stress, sleep disturbances, and certain medical conditions. They can also be influenced by external factors such as social interactions, environment, and personal experiences.
